14- 21 Day Instrument Training Course Coming Soon (Summer 2009)
Beginning in the summer of 2009 we will have a compressed instrument training course. This will NOT be a course where you fly the same approaches over and over in a tired training airplane. This will be a course in an M-20S equipped with the Aspen EFD 1000 Pro, Garmin 530W... and just about every other piece of equipment you would want on an instrument flight. We will fly approaches to some of the most challenging airports in the United States- KAXX, KSAF, KSRR. You will fly every type of approach that is possible- ILS, LOC, LOC/BC, GPS, VOR... you name it, and we will fly it. We will fly into class B airspace, and even class B airports if you desire. If there is instrument weather nearby, we will change plans and head toward real world instrument flying. If you like we can head over to San Diego or Long Beach California and spend the night. If you have Mooney time and are proficient flying one we should be able to do this in two weeks of hard flying. If you do not have complex or high performance time, figure an extra 2-3 days to get comfortable in the M-20S. No matter your background, this will be real world, demanding flying.
